MentePoint in the House of Dialogue
We received a community space in Budapest (1085 Budapest, Horánszky street 20.) for three years in the House of Dialogue, the so-called MentePoint, which has become the venue of discussions and the meeting point of our students currently residing in the capital city. We also use this space as a logistical point for our media equipment.
MIKSZ
The MIKSZ was launched in Autumn 2012: this is the Mente Biweekly Prayer Evening on Wednesdays for those studying in or close to Budapest.
School community service at parishes and regions
In Autumn 2013 we organized it together with 69 host institutions and more than 60 partnering schools and the co-operation of the VIFI Foundation that the obligatory 50-hour school community service to be completed for the maturity exam can be attained by our students at their own parishes or regions.
The so-called Hard-working Autumn initiative is a headline project at more parishes. This occasion is often related to the ’72 Hours Without Compromises’ volunteer project which aim is to bring together students and presenting how working together can help people and transform our environment.
School Mission
Since 2012 we held annual spiritual days at schools with our volunteers, colleagues, and sometimes other partners (for example Salesians). This is referred to as the school mission.
Co-operation with several spiritualities
Since 2011 we have established close co-operation with several spiritualities and religious orders working with young people in various fields of youth pastor service. For example since 2014 we have launched oratories with the Salesians at several parishes. Members of the Charismatic Renewal often organize apostle-training religious exercises for our youth preparing for confirmation. The ‘Fire-fly’ Community (Szentjánosbogár Közösség) enriched our community leaders with its games.
